Visiting the Theater Lübeck

THEATER LÜBECK

On Tuesday we got an amazing opportunity to visit the Theater Lübeck, even though it was closed that morning. Our private tour began at 9am.

Lübecks theater has three theater halls, we got to see the largest and the smallest one. Our guide also told us everything that happens behind the scenes, and we visited for example a room where they make wigs for the shows, the rehearsal room and we saw props which they use on their plays, musicals and operas.

Theater Lübeck plays shows only at the end of the week, and we are going to see the Oliver!- play on Friday! It’s based on Oliver Twist, and we saw a glimpse of the props on our tour. The theater people are amazing at making all kinds of light materials like plastic look like heavy pieces of metal and such, turning smooth texture into a completely different one with paint and other tools.

The theater was altogether very impressive and we’re all looking forward to seeing their actors and actresses perform!

Bye bye babes!
