Day at the school and rallying around the city

On Thursday we had some presentations at the FLS about our beloved Finland, including a nice video Johanna and Venla made in Suomenlinna. The German students also told us about Germany, Lübeck and their school system. We were all really tired from lack of sleep but it was all pretty interesting, especially the complicated school system of Germany.

After the presentations us Varia students and the Germans met with the students of Mercuria and began a little tour/race around Lübeck. We were split into teams with at least one from each school, then we were given some tasks to fulfill in each location of the tour, involving picture taking.

After our little race we attended a lesson about differences in Finnish and German cultures with Martin Herold, a German whom once lived in Finland and experienced its culture up close. A lot of both Finnish and German was spoken in the lesson since Martin spoke both really well, and I think it was pretty fun for all of us.

In the end of the day we were all really tired but happy, and some of us Varia students decided to go out for dinner with the FLS students and explore the town more. A long fun day!
